Maori language week

How do you celebrate Maori Language Week in your class/school? This year we had a set of words that we had to identify and translate it to English. Why is this an important week to New Zealand? Because it is apart of our culture. How does New Zealand celebrate Maori Language Week? Everyone celebrates it in different ways so i dont know what to say for everyone. Can you name any local places of significance that have a Maori name?Why are they significant? I cant name any. my grandad

My grandad lives in a place like no other. A place so unique where the animals are always moving, where the people are always working and the sun is always shining. My grandad trains wild animals like lions, foxes, rhinos and cheetahs, everyday he wakes up and go's to hang with the animals he feeds them and takes care of them as if they were his own. But one day he was going over to them and it started to rain he thought it was fine at first but once he got to the animals it started to hail then the first strike of lightning and the high winds grew and mashed together like bees attracted to pollen and a small twister formed that's when the animals ran then my grandad ran for cover saddened to leave his friends. After the storm had finished he came out of cover and looked around the land looked nothing like it did before and he immediately thought of the animals and ran he ran all day wondering what had happened to them and took a long journey. detention does nothing in high school “YOU DETENTION NOW” here we go again o well i don't care hi i'm emma and today i will be talking to you about detention sure i might do something in primary school but does it do anything in high school In high schools detention is just a way for teachers TRY teach the teens a lesson but it really does nothing. All they are doing is keeping the students in after school they can at least teach them the things that they missed out on and teach them the consequences about what will happen if they continue it through the rest of their lives. It also gives them a excuse not to do homework. When a teacher gives someone detention the teachers start regretting it. I mean does a teacher really want to spend there time with naughty kids. It's a punishment for them as well I mean come on let's think about it. So afterwards what happens well nothing they just walk off not even noticing what happened. They just carry on with there ...

This week we are celebrating being a New Zealander and all the beautiful cultures that we have here in NZ.  Questions : Q1. Where were you born and how long have you lived in NZ? I was born in Christchurch and i have lived in Christchurch all my life   Q2. What languages can you speak? or what language would you like to learn and why?
